Fair questions.

What founders ask about Keywords.

Can I see which searches my site ranks for?

Yes. The Keywords page lists every search Google shows your site for, and every search your posts are written toward, with how often it is searched, how hard it is to rank for and where you stand. Positions come from your Google Search Console once it is connected, and are estimated until then.

Do I need to know anything about SEO?

No. The part founders usually get stuck on is deciding what to write about, and that is the part we do. Your job is to read the draft and say whether it's true and whether it sounds like you.

Where do the traffic numbers come from?

Two places. Views and readers come from our own small script on the blog, which sets no cookies. Google impressions, Google clicks and position come from your Google Search Console, which you connect once. Both show up next to each post.

How long before any of this shows up?

Google usually takes a few weeks to index a new blog and a few months to decide where it belongs. Anyone promising faster is guessing. Thirty days is long enough to watch the first traffic arrive, not long enough to see the whole picture.
