Terms of use

The short version

Crumbr writes a blog for your product, publishes it on a domain you control, and shows which posts brought signups. You own the writing. Nothing goes live until you approve it. Cancel whenever you like.

These terms are the agreement between you and Crumbr when you use crumbr.co, join the waitlist, or keep an account. Questions go to hello@crumbr.co.

The service

You point Crumbr at a site. We read it, suggest topics, write drafts in the voice you set, and wait. Publishing happens on a schedule you choose, on your own domain or path, after you approve the draft.

After a post is live we measure how readers use it, connect Search Console if you ask us to, attribute signups you send us, and fold those learnings into later drafts. You can still edit by hand. Rewrites inside the editor are part of the draft, not a new one.

Your account

You need an account to use the product past the public pages. Keep the login yours. If you sign in with Google we trust the name and email Google sends us for that login.

While sign-up is gated, an invite from the waitlist is required to create an account. Joining the waitlist is not an account and does not start a trial.

Crumbr is for people running a real product. You must be 18 or older.

You own the posts

The drafts and published posts in your workspace are yours. Export them as Markdown whenever you want. Because they live on your domain, you can take the writing with you if you leave.

You give Crumbr a license to crawl the site you give us, store what we write and what you edit, publish the posts you approve, host the blog, and measure reader activity on that blog so the product can do its job. The license lasts as long as we need it to run Crumbr for you, and to keep a published blog reachable after a trial or plan ends.

You are responsible for the words that go live: facts, claims, quotes, and links. AI drafts can be wrong. Read them before you approve. We do not promise rankings, traffic, or signups.

Your domain

You keep the domain. Crumbr can serve the blog on a subdomain or custom hostname you connect, or behind a path on a site you already run. DNS and proxy setup is yours to complete. We will tell you the records to add.

If a hostname is already in use on Crumbr, we will not point it at a second workspace.

Trial, plan, and extra drafts

A new account starts a trial. How long it lasts, and what it includes, is shown at sign-up and on the Pricing page. Waitlist invites may include a longer trial than a direct sign-up. You get one trial.

After the trial you need a paid plan for the parts of Crumbr that write, research, or call third-party APIs. Price and included drafts are on the Pricing page. Extra drafts can be added from the account and land on the next invoice. We use Stripe to take payment and to let you manage the plan.

Cancel any time. When a trial or subscription ends:

• Topic research, draft writing, new learnings, and similar automations pause.
• Search Console sync and other paid data sources pause.
• Posts already on your domain stay up. Readers can still reach them.
• Metrics keep recording. We just stop acting on them.
• You can still export.

Subscribe again and the loop picks up. Scheduled dates may need a pass so they are not stuck in the past.

Fair use

Do not use Crumbr to:

• Publish anything illegal, or anything you do not have the right to publish.
• Impersonate another product, or scrape sites you do not control as a way to copy them.
• Probe, overload, or break the service, or anyone else's blog we host.
• Resell access, or run Crumbr as a silent layer for someone who never agreed to these terms.

We can suspend an account that breaks this. The published blog may stay up while we talk, or come down if we have to protect the platform or other customers.

Other companies in the loop

Crumbr calls other services to work: Stripe for billing, email delivery for transactional mail, model providers for drafts, keyword data for topic research, Laravel Cloud for hosting and custom hostnames, Google if you sign in or connect Search Console, and Notion while the waitlist is on. Their terms apply to what they do. If one of them is down, that part of Crumbr waits.

The fine print we still need

The service is provided as is. We work to keep it up, but we do not warrant that it will be error-free, or that a given draft will be the post you would have written.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Crumbr is not liable for lost profits, lost traffic, or other indirect harm, and our total liability for a claim is the amount you paid us in the three months before it.

These terms are the whole agreement for the service. If a court drops one clause, the rest still holds.

Changes and contact

We will change these terms when the product changes. The date at the top is the current version. Keeping an account after a change means you accept it. The Privacy policy covers how we handle data.
